FOOD CONSTELLATIONS
A new approach to bring back the joy of eating     REGISTER  HERE

If you have spent too much of your time thinking about weight loss, proper diet’ or ‘food rules’ - and you want a new relationship with food this workshop is for you.

  • Learn to relax and enjoy a more comfortable relationship with food.
  • Recognise when you  comfort eat and feel safe to allow  yourself your real emotions instead
  • Free yourself from stressful and toxic eating habits.
  • Begin  a healthier relationship with food,  reconnect with the joy of eating and accept the real you.

Did you know that "What we eat can be a chemical painkiller for uncomfortable emotions.  Literally our food can calm our brain and give us the energy we need to try to find a solution.  For example anger is felt in the limbic system so eating is a way to calm the brain by producing endorphins whilst the search continues for the resolution of the wound. As women are socialised not to express anger and often can't find a resolution for the wound they continue to eat (unconsciously) calming their brains, finding the energy to continue and thus setting up unhelpful habits."

The workshop  will combine academic  knowledge and experience of nutrition, eating patterns and disordered eating with the systemic constellation method.  Participants will learn theories that help explain  personal struggles with food, as well as participate in exercises  that  will help let go of past patterns.

The event will take place on Saturday 4th June at Phoenix Community Centre in Lewes.

At first coming to a workshop can feel scary.  Often once the workshop starts  fear shifts and people  feel safe and are able to look at things that previously felt "too much".  Most people fear exposure.  The  wonderful thing about these workshops is you can often learn a lot without revealing much about your personal life at all.

This workshop is being held by Dr Ifenia Giannapoulou of Brighton University and Liz Sleeper systemic constellation facilitator.
